Parameters for a future-oriented corporate governance
Well-established sustainability ratings agencies once again confirmed in 2009 that we ranked close to the top in the financial sector. For example, the international oekom Corporate Rating ranked us seventh out of 65 companies.
Assessment by leading rating agencies
Our performance is assessed by leading international sustainability ratings agencies such as EIRIS-imug, oekom research, Sustainable Asset Management, Sustainalytics, RiskMetrics, and vigeo.
The ratings help us improve how we identify the opportunities and risks arising from so-called ESG (environmental, social, governance) requirements and act as a basis for the continuous optimization of our business processes. The global financial crisis has brought about an increased emphasis on risk management, corporate governance, remuneration systems and economic data. Nevertheless, we were able to maintain or even improve our position in well-known sustainability ratings.
The ratings also show where we can improve still further, such as the sustainability of our products and services and the publication of our guidelines and internal processes.

The positive assessment of Deutsche Bank was again the basis for listing the bank’s stock in the following indices:

- FTSE4GOOD,
- ECPI Ethical Indices: ECPI Ethical Index Global, ECPI Ethical Index Euro, ECPI Ethical Euro Tradable and ECPI Ethical Index,
- NASDAQ OMX CRD Global Sustainability 50 Index.
