Our company achieved a very good result in the new performance category (“effectiveness of measures taken”). In a business sector comparison, Deutsche Bank is one of the three companies in the financial sector (besides Allianz and Swiss Re) that deals most effectively with the challenges of climate change.
The Carbon Disclosure is an independent, international not-for-profit organization which was established in London in 2000.
It holds the largest database of corporate climate information world-wide. On behalf of more than 500 institutional investors, all relevant climate data of more than 4,700 large companies in 50 countries are measured and disclosed. The results are made available to the capital market with the aim of establishing companies’ treatment of carbon emissions as a key factor for economic success and risks. How companies respond to the effects of their operations on climate change and how they incorporate them in their reporting plays a role, too.
